Here are some simple and sweet spring greens to cheer you up on this blustery Nebraska day. (If you're out of state enjoying the sun, count your blessing, and please don't rub it in!)
I took a vacation day this Wednesday to spend a little extra time with my bug, and to avoid the potentially slippery streets once we start to get the predicted 5-8 inches of snowfall. I thought March was in like a lion and out like a lamb, but it's feeling pretty lion-y on this end-of-March day!
The bug has been experimenting with getting in and out of the Bumbo all on her own. As you can see, she needs a little more practice!

A Flock of Fancy Flies
I've spent the last few days skipping around my studio painting butterfly wings. I'm making a whole flock of them, I mean a gaggle, ummm a herd? Does anybody know what a large group of butterflies is called?

Plant Season Begins
I couldn't wait any longer to post some photos of my plants. Spring comes a few weeks early when you own a greenhouse, and I love it. Jason calls all of the seedlings my "babies". He says things like, "Did you check on your babies yet today?" and "How are your babies doing?" It's a lot of plant babies for just one greenhouse mama, but somehow I manage.
These guys are gerbera daisies. They happen to be my favorite seedlings to transplant. They get this special status, because they remind me of lettuce, and I just really like vegetables. It's kind of an unreasonable reason, but that's just the way I think!
